Having grown up with a family heavily involved in my local swimming club, swimming has always played a huge part in my life. As a young child I competed in lots of different swimming galas and competitions until I decided to begin training for Modern Pentathlon (running, swimming, shooting, fencing and horse riding), which lead me to representing GBR on a number of occasions.
Being a poolside helper from the age of 16, I quickly realised that teaching children sport was the direction I wanted to follow, therefore I quickly began to gain my swimming qualifications until I achieved my Level 2 ASA Swimming Teaching Qualification.
When I was 18 years old I decided that I wanted to switch my focus from Modern Pentathlon to my career. 3 years later I graduated to become a Sports Teacher and have been working at The Paragon Junior School, Bath for the past 7 years.
Whilst I really enjoy teaching a variety of sports, swimming has always been my passion and I have made sure I continue to be involved in the swimming world, teaching at a variety of swim schools in the area during the evenings.
Since starting my career as a Sports Teacher, it has been a desire of mine to set up my own swim school. It is my goal to provide children with the same opportunities that I was lucky enough to have through sport, so there is no better way to share my love of swimming than creating my own community in the swimming world.
